An American gentleman

Daniel Sexton Gurney, one of the greatest motorsport heroes
of my youth, passed away January 14, 2018.
From 1962, I followed him with my camera, captured his great victory at Le Mans 1967.
There he was the first racing driver, who used the champagne for spraying on the podium.
A week later he won the GP of Belgium in his own construction, the AAR-Eagle-Weslake.
With his wife Evi and the sons he run very successfully his company
Eagle Racing Cars USA (All American Racers, Inc.) in Anaheim, Ca., where I had
the great pleasure to join an unforgettable day with him in summer 2016.
‛Eagle’s Nest’ and the world lost a wonderful human and an exceptional sportsman.
